Inspired by the UNESCO global campaign, and realizing the need to do more in highlighting the legal significance of the right to education, Education Above All (EAA) Foundation in partnership with this local entity, officially launched the national Right to Education campaign in October 2018. This launch marked the initiation of a yearlong commitment to raising local and global awareness on the right to education as basic human right as well as shared responsibilities among all the stakeholders for ensuring the right to education for all. The main aim of this partnership is to showcase Qatar as a role model to the global community of why education must always be protected and guaranteed, by highlighting the different benefits that can be secured from national prioritization of education. By investing in education as the enabling tool of its citizens, Qatar and its entities have a pool of resources that enable the realization of other vital development goals, such as eradicating poverty, diversifying the economy and infrastructure, communal empowerment, equity and the development of a knowledge-based community.
